The Form I-20 is a document issued by a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) certified educational institution that allows foreign students to obtain a student visa (F-1) or exchange visitor visa (J-1) to study in the United States. This form certifies a student’s admission to a specific academic program and demonstrates that the student has been accepted by an educational institution and has the necessary financial resources to cover the costs associated with their education and living expenses in the United States.

The Form I-20 is a fundamental requirement for applying for a student visa and for maintaining legal status while studying in the United States.

You can choose English courses at a private institute, a college, or a university, depending on your requirements. Or perhaps your English level is quite good, and you decide to take on a more challenging academic adventure; you can opt for an Associate’s degree. The sky is the limit.

VALIDATION OF

UNIVERSITY DEGREES

The evaluation of your university credentials, also known as Title validation is a process that is carried out with an agency that belongs to NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) which generates a report indicating what your degree is equivalent to in the United States (if it is equivalent to an Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree). Furthermore, each of the subjects you study, your grades according to the American system and your GPA (overall grade point average).

This evaluation is used to apply to Masters, validate credits if you want to study another career in the United States and to apply for a professional license of some races (not all, some races use other entities for the validation).

Most agencies generally request that your university send the grades directly from your country in a closed and sealed envelope.
